The last members of the DRC have finally left the cavern, along with the Bahro, apparently led away by Yeesha. The cavern is now truly empty of everyone but us, the explorers. I guess “Exodus” really did somewhat live up to it’s name.

I’m writing this note to lat you know that Marie and I have headed to the surface. I apologize that we could not make such an announcement in person but there were pressing reason to get a start on what we deem as our mission. You are well aware that Cate left the DRC for financial reasons. Judging the rumors, I’m not sure you are equally aware Dr. Kodama’s reasons for leaving but her has returned to the surface to try and find funding for this effort. He has not left the Council.

By now I’m sure many of you have heard of Yeesha’s visit. Upon hearing her words, we are more convinced than ever that we too must fins a way. As a result Marie and i have determined that the restoration will not continue without funding and we too, have taken it upon ourselves to search for such funding as well.

So, we leave you here to carry on the task Yeesha has given us.We leave you here hoping that we will return soon with better news and a brighter hope for the future.

Today, I was hanging out in K’veer observing the coolness and polish, and listening to some tunes… when I noticed something behind me. Yeesha (in the flesh :shock: ) and a Bahro linked in behind me. only 4 or 5 other people in the room with Yeesha. She proceeded to make a long speech about the future and past of the cavern, and made a few things clear about the “evil” Bahro and their leader. It was an awesome event, and I was finally (for the first time) present in the same room as a bahro.

Well, what with all the adventure this weekend, work, and the modifications / upgrades I’ve done to this site, it’s been quite the weekend. Now, I’m off to another event for work, and will have to depend on Nadnerb to keep us apprised of any goings-on that happen in-Cavern.

Reportedly, Phend was rambling yesterday about the Bahro again. That they are coming, and that they are here. Now, if you go down to the Ferry Terminal, it is plainly evident that the Bahro are present in the Cavern such as they have not been before.

I’m including an enhanced KI pic so that anyone who reads this can see the numbers of them flying around the Arch. Look to the sides of it. There are many more of them, but they are hard to see, constantly flying as they are.

Well, Ahnonay has changed a little since I was there last several years ago. However, at its core, it’s still the same.

Nadnerb and myself spent a couple hours there last night re-figuring how to manipulate the Age with the new changes, and were successful in completing it. The solution, I will not write here, as I do not wish to spoil it for those who come across this entry by accident. I am sure it will be written down elsewhere on this site.

The new ledge that has been opened at the end of Ahnonay was nice, and amazing. The only other Age that I am aware of that I could compare what I saw to, would be the Age Catherine wrote which so astounded Atrus for its impossibility. It also seems a bit out of character for the sort of Age that a D’ni would write.

The final puzzle in that Age, Nadnerb was kind enough not to reveal, (as he had figured it out immediately), and I puzzled it out this morning, with the aid of Gelwyn to actually execute the pellet drop.

Once Gelwyn executed the puzzle, it was clear to me as to the solution, and following that back to the Cleft, I arrived on K’veer. It’s an interesting place, to be sure. It was almost comforting to find the chamber, so familiar, where Atrus worked so hard on keeping Riven together, and where he was imprisoned by his sons; but that, is another matter.

There is still rumor that a Link to Myst might be found soon. If it is, I expect it’ll be found here.

I should also note that last night, while Nadnerb and I were standing around the lower Cavern of the final Ahnonay puzzle, Dr. Kodama made an appearace in D’ni Ae’gura. His announcement, surprisingly, was that without any funding for the DRC, he was leaving the Cavern, and effectively resigning.

I’m not quite sure what this is going to mean for the DRC, or if we can all expect more of this type of thing in the near future, but I do hope not. With everything locked up so tight as it is in the Cavern, and the inability for the Guilds to properly effect anything yet, we need the DRC around to get things done.

Here’s hoping that they can get some backing in the next couple months. Yahvo only knows there has to be someone out there willing to take on this project. Perhaps so long as the Bahro don’t interfere…
